This is a great activity for you and the kids to enjoy our beautiful downtown area. If you haven’t been to a Friday at Columbus Commons, check it out! They have their kick-off party tomorrow (details below from the source), and will be offering kids stuff every Friday for the rest of the summer. Make a Friday of it and hit Commons for Kids then the splash pad at Bicentennial Park, which is right down the street. Pack your lunch and eat on the lawn or at Scioto Mile.
The second annual Commons for Kids kicks off Friday, May 31 at 10:00am. Children can exercise imagination and creativity with the Imagination Playground, Snugg Play System, the Art Box, a lifesize Chess game and more. If weather permits, children are encouraged to bring swimsuits for the inflatable water slide.
Columbus Metropolitan Library will host storytime at 10:30 am during Commons for Kids. The Columbus Metropolitan Library Bookmobile will host the event in the Reading Room, sponsored by Highlights for Children. Storytime will be followed by fun and interactive children’s activities.
