I love it when big businesses give back to the communities that support them. I like this promotion and I decided to post it on my blog because it gives families and an entire community a chance to benefit. Chuck E. Cheese has been around for years offering games and entertainment for kids, and now they are advocating for caregivers to get their children outside to play. Take a look, and maybe you could win a new play set for you and your community! OH! I’m a little late on the draw – the contest started June 10 so you better get moving! This is their release:
Chuck E. Cheese’s Challenges Kids to Head Outdoors, Get Active for Chance to Win Ultimate Playground for Their Community
Power Their Play contest inspires kids to go out and get active with favorite summer activities
DALLAS – June 12, 2013 – Family entertainment leader and number one kid-friendly restaurant Chuck E. Cheese’s is moving fun and play outdoors with its new summer promotion. In conjunction with the introduction of its new Chuck E. Cheese’s Yogurt Squeezes, the family entertainment leader is extending the experience and action seen in its indoor play areas and Skytubes® to outside play environments with its national Power Their Play challenge for kids and families. The contest will give participants the chance to win free playgrounds and other prizes while completing fun outdoor challenges.
Each week beginning June 10 through July 21, 2013, parents and children are to complete a weekly challenge and then submit their pictures to the contest’s official Power Their Play platform on Facebook. The challenges are energetic in nature to inspire kids to go outdoors and get active. Weekly winners will be chosen to win a dream backyard playground, and at the end of the promotion, one Grand Prize winner will win a playground for their whole community. Here’s how to get in on the action:
- Challenge One – Week of June 10
Share a shot of your kid monkeying around at the playground.
- Challenge Two – Week of June 16
Snap a pic of your youngster making a splash by playing in the pool.
- Challenge Three – Week of June 22
Grab an action shot of your little all-star playing a summertime sport.
- Challenge Four – Week of June 29
Share those summer vacation photos and show us how your child stays active away from home!
- Challenge Five – Week of July 6
Take a picture of your kiddo riding their bike around the neighborhood.
- Challenge Six – Week of July 13
Snap a photo of your little one playing hopscotch, tag or any classic outdoor kids’ game.
While enjoying their favorite summer past times, parents are also invited to power their kid’s appetite with Chuck E. Cheese’s Yogurt Squeezes. Available in the dairy section of more than 2,200 Supercenter stores around the U.S., the 70-calorie squeezable snack is available in four different flavors and addresses parents’ challenge to easily find healthy, affordable snacks that kids want to eat while playing their favorite outdoor activities.
