One of my very favorite holiday traditions is to have mommy and daughter time at the theater. I have taken my daughter since she was three to see BalletMet’s The Nutcracker at the Ohio Theater. The production is always beautiful, the theater is amazing, and it is easy to park. We typically do lunch beforehand (her choice, which many times is Cap City Diner) and make an afternoon of it.
For parents who aren’t sure about a theater production with their young one, this is a perfect choice. There are a ton of children who attend – many in their holiday dresses, which is so stinkin’ cute! The production is full of lovely costuming, excellent dancing, AND you get two the price of one…the Columbus Symphony Orchestra plays live for the performance. How can you beat that?!
